Beauty from the Heart: Faces

Hey guys! I know it's been quite a while since I updated with school and all. Today I wanted to share with you a video I found by a young lady named Hannah Farver. She has written a book for girls and started her own really cool website/blog, Beauty From The Heat. Hope maybe you'll find this video encouraging. God can take the most broken things in this world and turn it into something wonderful! And he loves you SO MUCH! :)

Beautiful.

Lately the Lord has put it in my heart to start a new blog series about true beauty. Every day girls hear the negative messages that they need to be perfect and look thin or they will never amount to anything. These are all lies that are not true! God is the only one who will ever define you, and in His eyes you ARE perfect! He loves you, treasures you, and thinks you are beautiful. And once you really come to know just how wide and high and deep the love of God is, your life will never be the same. Take a look at the video clip below. I hope it inspires you!

Set The World On Fire For God!

This song by Britt Nicole is so inspiring and totally my prayer as well. Submit your everything to the Lord and he WILL use you in mighty ways to bring Him glory! How will you set the world on fire?

(Acts 4:31)
After they prayed, the place where they had met was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly...

Disney Princess Tag!!

I got this idea tag from Jedi-Chick's blog, so I hope you enjoy! It took me like an hour to find all the pictures! XD

Day One: Favorite Movie
I'm going to have to say Tangled! It was funny, romantic, and not too scary. My whole family really enjoyed it. It is by far one of the best movies Disney has made in a while!

Day Two: Favorite Princess
That's an easy one! BELLE! I grew up loving the movie, and I still love it today! This week I was in a mini Beauty and the Beast skit, and I was Belle. ; D

Day Three: Favorite Prince
Hmm..I'm gonna have to go with Prince Eric. ; )

Day Four: Favorite Song
Eeep, this is a hard one! Um, Part Of Your World?

Day Five: Favorite Kiss
Flynn and Rapunzel!!

Day Six: Prettiest Princess
Either Mulan or Belle. IDK!

Day Seven: Favorite Castle
I love Belle's library, but what can I say? Cinderella's castle wins hands down!
Day Eight: Saddest Moment
I always get tears in my eyes when Belle comes home to find the Beast nearly dead! I like how she learns to see him on the inside rather than the outside. It's a lesson we all need!

Day Nine: Favorite Couple
Eric and Ariel! There's just something about them..

Day Ten: Best Hair
Rapunzel totally has the best hair!! It's so pretty! Not to mention it's 70 ft. long and as magical powers! : )

Day Eleven: Favorite Animal Sidekick
I love Flounder! He's so adorable! ; D

Day Twelve: Favorite Non-Animal Sidekick
I think Lumiere is pretty funny! The guy who played him in the skit I was in this week was hilarious!

Day Thirteen: Oufit
Love Cinderella's sparkly blue dress!

Day Fourteen: Favorite Villain
I think Mother G. was a great villain! And a bit of a diva... but a great villain! At times it almost seemed like she loved Rapunzel, but then the next minute you just hate her!

Day Fifteen: Most Romantic Moment
The scene for I See The Light was really good....;)

Day Sixteen: Best Singing Voice
They all have great voices, but I have to say Ariel!

Day Seventeen: Best Eyes
Rapunzel's eyes are just so big and pretty! In a way they remind me of Ariel's for some reason.

Day Eighteen: Favorite Name
You don't meet a girl everyday who's named Rapunzel! ;)

Day Nineteen: Best Soundtrack
Either Mulan, Tangled, or Beauty and the Beast. They're all so good!!

Day Twenty: Favorite Funny Moment
There are quite a few funny moments in Mulan thanks to Mushu! XD

Day Twenty-One: Favorite Quote
I have many favorite quotes, but this one is really sweet...;)

Day Twenty-Two: Bravest Princess
I've always though Belle was the bravest. She left her home and everything she had ever known to save her father!

Day Twenty-Three: Favorite Dance Scene
When Flynn and Rapunzel dance!!

Day Twenty-Four: Best Parents
Well, Rapunzel's parents are pretty cool, and I love it when they are reunited with their daughter.

Day Twenty-Five: Favorite Lyrics
I really like that song that the Mulan sings at the beginning of the movie before she decided to take her father's place in the war. I forgot the name. I think it's called My Reflection, Who I Am Inside, I don't know!...XD

Day Twenty-Six: Most Magical Moment
The transformation at the end of Beauty and the Beast! That was pretty magical..

Day Twenty-Seven: Best Wardrobe
BELLE! She does, after all, have a TALKING wardrobe! ;)

Day Twenty-Eight: Favorite Sequel
I have always liked The Little Mermaid 2. It came out when I was about 5 and I really enjoyed it!

Day Twenty-Nine: Best Overall Moment
It is really beautiful when Belle and the Beast dance. Out of all the "moments" in the Disney Princess movies, this one is the most lovely of all.

Day Thirty: Favorite Happy Ending
I can't pick! They all have wonderful happy endings! I think all our dreams can come true if that is what God wants for us, and if we are willing to work for it. Remember that you are God's Princess! :)

Camp/Other INFO You Should Know

Let me just say that I had an AMAZING time at Super Summer Camps! It was totally the most incredible experience of my life. I meant so many new friends who strengthened my faith, got closer to my friends from church, and just felt really connected to God. I watched so many friends re-dedicate their lives to God, and it was wonderful putting my arms around them and praying and singing with them. Worship was the best part though. To sum it up all in one sentence: You have GOT to come to this camp next year!! Google it right now!! I have never felt this close to God since I was in the hospital, maybe even a little more so.

Anyway, you probably noticed that I changed my blog from Catching Rainbows to Inside Out. It was inspired by my new favorite song, Inside Out by Kristian Stanfill. I haven't posted about God much in a while, so I want to try to focus more on that. Also, I will be off of the blogosphere for a week or so. I have been spending way too much time online and it kinda pulling my away from God. If you feel the same way I would encourage you to do the same. You CAN do it! You can!

So long for now, and remember that God will NEVER leave you and is there EVEN in the hard times. :)

Some of My Favorite Pictures (from Tangled and Star Wars)

This post is a bit random, but I thought it would be fun to post some of my favorite pics from SW and Tangled. I am probably going to order some shirts from Her Universe soon, so I am excited about that! :)

This is like my favorite FAVORITE photo of Luke and Leia. It cracks me up!! XD

One word: Beautiful.

I was almost in tears at this point of the movie. I was like, it just can't end this way!

Another Flynn and Rapunzel picture...

I LOVE Padme! She is the best Star Wars character ever!

Luke saving his sis.

Padme and Anakin...together at last. It gives me tears whenever I think about their tragic story.

I can't think of anything to write for this picture except that I love Hayden and Natalie....but then again I love almost everything Star Wars. XD

I am going to camp next week so I will not be posting. Will miss you gals! ;)

P.S. Please pray for one of my friends. She is struggling with eating and drinking and I really hope she does not have an eating disorder. Remember, God is crazy about you and made you so beautiful!

Poem Inspired By Star Wars

"I still believe there's good in him..."
- Padme Amidala

This is a poem that I was inspired to write from Padme's point of view, and what she might have been feeling and thinking when Anakin turned to the Dark Side. Sad, I know, but I hope you like it. :)

After all we've been through,
How could this be the end?

Where did we go wrong?
What did I miss?
Don't Go, Ani.

All those days we spent together,
Laughing, Smiling,
Seem like nothing more than a daydream.
Don't Go, Ani.

How could I be so blind?
Why didn't I see this coming?
I couldn't see what was right before my eyes.
Don't Go, Ani.

You gave me a world of happiness only to snatch it away.
You've taken away the husband I once knew,
Will you take our children too?
Don't Go, Ani.

Come back to me, Anakin.
Come back to the light.
Let go of your anger and give up this fight.
Don't Go, Ani.

There is still hope,
There is still time.
Don't give in to all the hurt and lies.
Though you are consumed by darkness,
I still believe there's good inside.
Don't Go, Ani......

Are You Locked In A Tower?

I watched Tangle for the first time last night, and I have to say that it was probably the best kids movie I've seen in a long time. It had comedy, romance, and a good moral all tied into one! I think of all the Disney princesses I can relate to Rapunzel the most. She does the same things everyday.... art, read, music, etc. Pretty much all the things I like. But as much as I do love those things, I still long for adventure, to discover what my purpose is in life. The only thing is, I'm a little scared. Sometimes I'm too scared to allow myself to try new things and explore life, that I end up locking myself in a tower.
Instead, I should be learning to trust God. I shouldn't be afraid to let down my hair for Him. I need His help to get me out of my tower. I wonder.....are most girls like Rapunzel? Locked inside a tower, never realizing their true identity as God's princess? Never allowing themselves to enjoy life? God doesn't want that for you. He wants you to give Him your insecurities, doubts, fears.... He wants to help you out of that tower.
Before I close this post, I simply HAD to post the above picture. I think every little girl dreams of being a princess. YOU are a real princess.

Inspring Quotes and New Blogging Series

I really love that quote, and the picture is lovely. When life gets hard, we need to hold on to God and learn to praise Him, in rain or in shine.....

OMG, I just HAD to add this one! It gives me chills just looking at it.

No matter how big of a mistake you make, always know that God loves you and is willing to forgive you and help you through it.

This is my life verse, and probably one of the only things that got me through that dark time at the hospital. And of course, it has a rainbow for the picture. Awesome, right?

Ah, another Narnia pic and quote by the amazing C.S. Lewis. Very inspiring indeed. Sorry you can't see it all to well.....I'll have to work on that.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you girls that I am starting a new blogging series soon all about accepting yourself, and learning to yourself through God's eyes. He made you beautiful, you know! If you don't know that yet or are still struggling with it as most girls do, hopefully you will gain some new perspective and encouragement through the upcoming posts. Feel free to open up and share your thoughts and trials related to that topic. We are all here to support you! :)

It Takes a Special Girl To.....

Look into the mirror and accept who she is. God loves you, and He doesn't want you to ever think of yourself as less!

Dress modestly. Wait to go, Georgie!

Eat as many cupcakes as you want and feel good about it. Life is not about being skinny. So enjoy
your sweets once and a while, and remember that God cares about how beautiful your heart is, not your outward appearance.

Persevere, even against the odds. Look at Bethany Hamilton! She lost her arm when she was 13, and now at 21 she is pro surfer! That's pretty amazing.
Praise God, even in the storms. A great song about this is No Matter What by Kerrie Roberts. Before a heartache can ever touch your life, is has to go through His his hands first. Trust God, because He has a great plan for your life!

Randomness (Soul Surfer and Narnia)

So today I thought I'd do a sorta random post. I recently went to the theaters to watch the movie Soul Surfer, and I have to say that it was really good! It is truly amazing that even though Bethany lost her arm due to the shark attack, she still finds the courage to trust God. The movie was so inspiring. It teaches you not to give up and that you CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

Above is a pic of the real Bethany Hamilton with Anna Sophia. She was a great choice to play Bethany! Loved her!
I love this photo of Georgie and Skander! Looks like he's not very fond of the stuffed eanimal....maybe he's mistaken it for a fan girl! O.k, o.k, I admit it..... I have a crush on Skander/Edmund. There. I said it. Happy now?

What can I say? This is just hilarious!

And now, to close this post, I present you with the famous song "Check the Gate", written by none other than Skander Keynes himself!.... well, with a little help from Georgie and the rest. But I'll give him most of the credit.
